German’s claim: BMW has new Sportboxer coming!
Now this is a new thing. According to our German press friends, BMW has an all-new Sportboxer on the way for its 2016 line-up.
They reckon that the bike has 150bhp, is going to be powered by the firm’s 1200cc motor and will tip the scales at just 215kg.
The bike is aimed at the more sporty end of the market than would go for, say, the VFR800 – so this could be a direct competitor
to something along the lines of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F that is now out. A higher-power, fairing-ed lightweight motorcycle dripping
with traction control and all the other toys? Yes please.
