Has anyone used the full cover onver the central hub, the the external cover a clip on/off to a cantral mounting or do they spring clip to the bolts??
When can the Highway agency lay softer road coverings??

Skint,

I use the Wunderlich smooth silver central cap which covers the bolts and is held on by two very strong magnets over the wheel bolts. I've had mine for almost 3 years without problems, however there have been some posts on Pelican from people saying that they have lost the newer ones (that look like a huge hex bolt with a retaining clip) after some spirited riding over a rough surface.

The only down side to my hub cover is it does damage the paint on the edge of the hub. Might be worth while putting some tape on the underside to stop the metal disk rubbing the paint on the wheel, if you buy one.

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

First thing I got for my bike was the plug from Mr Haynes in OZ.
Such a trusting chap sent it over with his address to send the cheque to.
Well worth the £8.50.
Bern.
Lots of posts on Pelican about expensive alloy and magnetic caps flying off never to be seen again.

Andrew

It looks like that rather large pic in my post second from top and the contact details are via the link just below it.

Adam,

I didn't realise it was the same thing as Bern wrote about. I have just ordered some for us Scottish (as in living) Trixters. So if you read this Ian and Tom give me a call if you want one.

I'm really happy with it. Perfect service. Sent him an email he will sent one immediately to you. within a few days you have it!! I had a small problem because mine didn't fit because of the painted wheels. I sent him an email. He made a new one at no charge!! The 1.st is now fitted on the bike of my friend.

It is for me a wanna-have!!
