Well, that's what it appears to me. apparently they are no longer receiving parts from them direct. I have been directed to Rainbow and Allan Jeffries for new spares.

How about airhead parts?

I am surprised at what I was told when recently ordering new bits for my BCR. It was common for Motorworks to carry the stocks and dealers buy from them. That is now not the case. They always break bikes and sell bikes too but as for airheads why would decisions from high differ from genre to genre when new spares are concerned?
If you are interested about new airhead spares for your bike ring motorworks and ask, in my experience they have always been very helpful.

I read it was something to do with people abroad being able to buy parts from Motorworks significantly cheaper than through their local dealers so BMW have closed the net on them so to speak. To be honest most new parts I go to BMW directly anyway as they're generally cheaper, closer for me to collect and cheaper on postage. Except Park Lane who don't even pick up the phone or return messages anymore

True, my dealer will usually give me a discount off the retail price and do the p&p free too

After they sent me the wrong gear box potentiometer I switched back to the trusty Sherlocks

I've ordered stuff from motorworks. No problems at all. Mind you, it was a year ago. Or two. Can't remember.
But this issue with different prices, i thought that they are pretty much the same in all EU, since there's no toll or duty or whatever it's called, between the countries?
Perhaps motorworks did something in some way that BMW didn't approve of?
Like selling some aftermarket parts they didn't like?

I think BMW ask a lot from their dealers- perhaps this is a way to support them?

I heard the issue was people buying parts from Motorworks in New Zealand or Australia which is where there was a big price difference.

That sounds logical.
