They just wrap around the headstock. Loads left over so I wrap them around again and knot them.

Cheers thought I must've had to put them elsewhere with so much left over  The 2 smaller ones at front with hooks go up near light somewhere??

Might sound daft telling you, but make sure that the strap doesn't foul the cabling underneath the ignition lock.

Have a good look with a torch.

B/W due to rim-tape porn

I've crossed front long straps down through trailing arm temporarily to stretch it to shape in sun...seems the tension needs to be downward. Appreciate advice thank you..watching for cables etc.

Yes. If you look at the chequered panels that the fairing mounts to. You shall see/feel a small hole on both sides that the hooks clip into. Also to save the paint I cut up an old t-shirt and put some of it between the plastic hooks that attach to the bodywork 'and' the bodywork. In addition because of I was concerned about the adjuster on the straps I wrapped them in electrical tape so there was no chance of them undoing and coming off. It's happened to me before. It's not too pretty but when touring who cares.

BTW your bike (especially the underside and exhaust) are way too clean for my liking. The benefits of living In a country with more dry days than wet I guess :(
