If he wanted to be REALLY clever, that front 'fairing' would hydraulically raise up on engine start to reveal the clocks and provide wind protection for the rider.

It's brilliant. The nearest thing I've seen recently, on a similar basis, is the lotus c-01, but that doesn't come close to this thing.
