2004 r1100s engine a bit rattly any sugestions please

Forgive us (me) if we (I) don't go to the far end of a fart to narrow down your problem.....................

We're (mostly) a friendly bunch - who respond well to an introduction and the predicament you find yourself in...........

From your brief "introduction" - you could be a dealer who has a pup on his inventory - who wants some cheap (free) solution.........

Maybe needs the re-designed cam chain tensioners..rattly at startup?

i have an 1150r at the moment ,,, bought as a non runner with a rattle , got it started , and boy was there a ratte , and then some ,,, long story cut short , baffle in the exhaust cross pipe was loose ,,, two stainless steel pop rivets later , silent ,,, its one to watch out for , cant remember if the 11s has the baffle or not though ,,,
its not a boxer , its a 180 degree v-twin

if you had heard the rattle the baffle made , you wouldnt say it was random ,,, it was tragic ,,, but sussed ,, and that was magic.
