Hi
I'm about to replace the final drive oil on my "lubed for life" R1200S.
For the life of me I can't remember what grease to use on the splines. Is Ebay a good source for a small tube?
Thanks

Most 'experts' recommend Honda moly 60 paste. I bought a tube from a motocross specialist in Rugby but you should be able to find it online.
A small tube will last approximately forever.

Use Honda Moly 60. Search for it on fleabay (apparently not available in Europe). A replacement in Europe would be Castrol Optimol PL or Optimol TA.

I think this must be where Herb got it from. I just ordered some. They'll nail you on the postage though.

That's the place. What did they charge for postage? I go past there most days. Assuming they have stock I am more than happy to collect and post at cost if anyone else needs some.

So, nine weeks down the line it still hasn't arrived and although my first chase email from 9th Sep was answered my latest from last Wednesday has not.

When I did the splines on the 1100S I used lith-moly grease as it is readily available at Hafords
