Guy Westgate, who taught Guy Martin to fly a glider, gave a demo at our club on Saturday evening. Glider aerobatics, with on-board fireworks. Brilliant madness!

Yeh, you should try it at least once. It's a whole different experience - not a gentle float around the sky in an unpowered aircraft, but an exhilarating ride through quite strong positive and negative G forces.dave the german wrote:Went up in a glider once in Germany - was amazing then someone suggested I got taken up in a stunt glider - haven't managed that - yet
Being unpowered, the pilot has to convert height into enough speed for each manoeuvre, so it makes it a shorter flight than the gentle float round. But there is a lot of fun/excitement packed into a few minutes.
I saw Guy flying during the day and that was pretty exciting to watch, but I missed the fireworks flight in the eveningned1 wrote:Cool....
