Boxer model swap!

Hello All,

Just been for a couple of long rides on my year 2000 R1100Ss (black).
Love the bike BUT!........
After an hour or so I get a nasty neck ache and sore wrists.
(I've always had bikes with a more upright riding position)
Also with being a bit of a short arse and the bike being the taller 'sport' spec R1100S I still feel a bit unstable in some situations...
SO.....I was thinking of perhaps swapping it for a R1150R
(lower seat height, more upright riding position ect ect)
Anyone out there with a R1150R (pref black) who fancies swapping it for a R1100S?
PM me for details and pics if interested.

Geoffo.

On reflection I think I could be accused of being a bit of a wuss!
I'm surprised no one has said so! (how kind you all are)
Do I really need the roadster?
Maybe not........
Going to keep on keeping on with my R1100S and see if I get used to it with more long rides, tone up my neck muscles and alter my riding position.

Have you tried putting the bars above the yokes, it makes hell of a difference

Thanks Steve,

That was one option I had considered.
A darn site cheaper than buying another bike!

I put the bars above the yolks (actually managed to score a pair of 'actual' comfort bars, and I used the world famous 'Bar Backs' Perfect!

Seems like the way to go!
Does the yoke need drilling for the securing bolts?

Cheers.

No, what my mates done is put a piece of stainless bar between the clamps which secures them neatly but others just clamped them up

comfy

a set of genuine comfy bars are well worth the bother ,,, couple of hours sorts it out , and thats allowing for heated grips ,,, huge change to comfort.
