Coil pack remover

Post by dave the german »

I'm looking to change the coil pack removal tool with something more substantial and have seen the ally products on e bay - the tools are listed as Laser tool 5032 for R1150 and R1200s - is it the same tool for a BCR twin spark? I know someone out there will know cos you are all so clever so thanks in advance (thanks to Bob for diagnosis - spot on!!)

Sorry, I don’t have an answer, just a comment.
I agree on that the plastic thingy that comes with the bike is a worthless POS. It took me some 45 sec from first trying to use it, to when I threw it in the trash bin.
You really don't need a special tools to do this. Just put two screwdrivers on each side of the coil and pry it out. If you’re on the road and don’t have two screwdrivers, find the nearest restaurant and borrow two tablespoons. They work just as good.

I know what you're saying but the correct tool is only about £10 to buy so will probably get one. Also, I've been told as long as it's for a twin spark it will work
