What is this?

Post by tanneman »

After 5 years of ownership I would have thought that I knew the bike quite well. I have had it apart, done a few mods, service it more often than needed and washed it countless amount of times. But today while giving it a foamy bath I spotted something that for some reason never caught me eye. It lives at the back of the gearbox with a line coming in at the top and what looks like a pipe from the right hand side. This is zip tied to the frame with a protective foam cover over it. On the back it reads Magura, upside down. I have looked at the BMW parts fiche but the only thing that came close was the clutch slave cylinder but it looks different on my bike or the pipe is routed different.

Thank you very much. The bike was at the dealership the other day for the annual service and all fluids change. I guess they rerouted the bleed pipe.

I guess so, I don't recall it being there on my S - actually for the next few weeks I can say "either of my S's" Apparently it's routed wrong on my GS.

Do I get a banana?

Ooo matron!

Warm it first!
