...green one from Hinckley...

...my other bike's a green one from Hinckley...

...the story : a few weeks ago I sold my 1988 Mini Red Hot after being pain striking careful with it for the last 25 years...
...bought that little red thingy new in those late eighties, and loved it all those years...

...but for the last 16 years or so, the Mini only stood there...
...only doing a couple of miles each year...

...from MOT to MOT so to speak...

...and suddenly a few weeks backs I had 'her' up for sale, and within only a few days 'she' was gone...

...sold all the bits & pieces I had collected over the years ; and all the gone stuff leaving a gap in the garage...

...but..., I always had some feelings towards a Suzuki GSX1400...
...big bike, naked, old-skool...

...and when I threw that idea towards the family, my wife said : ’…you can do what you want, but I think it's an utterly stupid idea ; a third bike in the garage...’

...well…, maybe she's right...

...so, in order to check if she's right, I didn't bought a GSX1400...
...I bought a Roulette Green T595 Triple 995i instead...

...as some sort of compensation for the Mini perhaps...
...as in : still something British next to the Germans...

...after 25 years : out...

...and...

...coming Saturday I'll pick it up...

...hoping the weather stays dry... :?

Very nice indeed Ron, looks immaculate. That 955 is a very sweet motor. Funky colour. :)

Nice.

I quite fancy making my Daytona into a Speedtona :)

Good to see you have a proper exhaust on it. They sound sweet!

Looks good Ron, I've seen your post on the Pelican about it, I like the colour, but I've always been a bit partial to something green :D

And from the angle of the picture with the Mini looks as though you may have a little more space in the garage

Always liked these but not a fan if that pipe. Always looked wrong to me. I'd have to replace it with a low one.

Phil, judging from your new avatar I'm guessing that we should refer to you as Herr Popsky from now on...

...yep ; it always felt pretty tight, even with the Mini tucked away in a corner...

...yes, it does... 8)

...bike came with a few extras ; luckily the first owner skipped the extra 'typical British weather' to come with it though...

...almost untranslatable... ;)

…seeing the Avatar, Obersturmbahnführer came to mind, but to make it sound more friendlier, and without negative thoughts, I thought Oberautobahnfahrer would be more appropriate...

No. She's wrong.

Hope that helps.

I feel your pain over the Mini by the way. Looks stunning.

...that Mini was (is !) stunning...

...absolute rust free, still the original rear subframe for example, no rotten doors, wings, or other body panels, immaculate interior, great stereo, always parked in the garage, tweaked 1300 Innocenti engine and gearbox (both fully rebuild of course, with al kinds of nice stuff inside), first paint, me being the first owner, 55.000 miles in 25 years, etc.etc.etc...

...and I still love the classic Mini...
...but now that's gone, it's alright...

...with the Mini I had some great 25 years, but it's time to move on...
