I have lost a post: The post Where I asked about thje Bevel Box oil seal on an R1200 Bevel Box. I am still hoping someone can tell me how to remove the Black plastic annular (ring) cover as I don't want to fudge it.

Cheers

It got nuked..........

It developed into a big argument, then a flounce.

Hi,
Had to do this on my 12s last year, If I recall correctly the plastic (??) retaining ring just pops out with a small screwdriver, Destroy the old seal with a seal puller and pull out and drive the new seal in. I made a tool at work to push the new seal in --Short piece of 76mm pipe which I had to linish down slightly and away you go.

Peter.
