Can one of you kind people tell me how the small cover with 3 Allen screws where the ABBA stand adapter fits is removed.
I normally leave the adapter fitted permenantly, but today when I put the bike on the stand it came off with the stand as the small screw had sheared off in the afore mentioned cover, I took out the 3 screws and expected the plate to fall out, wrong! :? I can turn it by knocking it with a copper punch but it is a snug fit in the recess and does not turn easily.

I don't think you want that plate to fall out as it is the main pivot bearing for the swing arm!!

If the screw fixing the abba fitting is sheared off I think you are best to use a thread removal kit to get it out.

To quote Boxerdog from a previous thread 'the centre screw is just for show and the threaded hole is attachment of a slide hammer when you want to pull the pivot point out'.

Probably totally wrong and someone more learned that me will be along in a minute.

Edit: errr... the last line suggests that the quote from BD is wrong which clearly it is not. I wrote the original post without the quote but then added that bit in. Should have edited the last line before posting. Soz
