Please advise…
On my new to me 2003 r1100s whilst having a poke around, I found this lonely plug. Thought it was for an opptimate but alas no. its very similar but slightly larger, I haven’t been under the body work yet but thought someone could supply me with the answer.
Sorry for being a pleb
I thank you Marsh

I "may" be wrong but I seem to recall that a potentiometer is installed on the R1100GS to "tweak" mixture settings and on the R1150GS (and the 1100S) it's removed but can be attached temporarily for "setting"

DON'T TOUCH THAT
That's the connector for the self destruct button.

Yeah, it's the charcoal canister connector. Got one on my GS too (and didn't know what it was when I found it!)

It may well work for the cannister but the power socket plugs directly into it. Saves hard wiring into the battery and is also then on a fused circuit.

It's such a shame you haven't posted this "elsewhere" I'd love to see their local admins foaming at the mouth
