I only have a single key for mine... now I know I need at least 1 spare cutting, but I wondered if you can get one of the old airhead type keys for the 11S?
Reason I ask is that a normal key won't fit between a Givi monorak and the lock, so with the rack in place, I can't get under the seat.

As far as I'm aware Steve they're different .... but .. what may be of help, the emergency wallet key BMW issued for the R11's is a stubby metal one and doesn't have the chunky black top to it, I reckon one of them would fit in a confined space.
I assume the dealers can still get them, realoem list them at $6 (no 7 on the list)

What sort of base plate have you fitted? I ask as I have just fitted a givi rack and an M3 baseplate and there is plenty of room for the key and the seat cowl comes off and on as well.
