RE THE UPGRADE ON THE L/H TENSIONER FROM JAMES SHERLOCK

Hi Ya

Looking for some feedback bike is going to mototscot to have a pair of lennies sprockets fitted .

question is this is it necessary to fit the new l/h pensioner if so and why and should i buy the piston as well??

I have lennies sprockets, and still on the original LH pensioner (1998 bike).
It's always been the RH camchain that rattled on my bike.

Can't see why you'd need the updated tensioner in order to run the different sprockets. All it does is reduce the rattle on start up. The camchains on these engines are very durable.

As i have said before let it rattle if it stops quickly then you know you have good oil pressure
