...that I've been out on the R12S. ooooo yeeeees! Cold air, dry roads - you just cannot beat it. Orgasmicly brilliant (steady on there).

Three hours later, I'm still grinning. :D

Has there been a better invention than the motorcycle?

Disappointed!

By the title I thought it was going to be a description about what you did with the wife!

Cheers

Same here.
Had a great time. The roads are a bloody disgrace though. Had to pick my way carefully between the potholes and torn up road surface.

I washed mine, as it got filthy last time out.

Hoping to give it a run tomorrow... I've even found the lead for my heated waistcoat.

I've just put the bike away after a 260 mile cold (and dark on the return) ride from Manchester and I have to say the roads have deteriorated to an unbelievable level this winter. The last 30 miles on the 'B' roads between Bridgnorth and Kington were just a trial (even trail!) to ride. It's hard to enjoy riding when you're having to concentrate on dodging scores of seriously deep, denture shattering, pot-holes.

better invention than a motorcycle? not yet :)

I had my first ride 2 weeks ago since I had some cardiac probs last June

Only did a 40 mile round trip, but boy was it good ( rusty as hell mind) and had my second ride today, just as good until it was punctured by a ...err puncture  but its great to be back :D

Trying to motivate myself to go out for a ride - but yesterday's sun has disappeared, so it's a horrible, cold and grey day here in Caerphilly. So I probably won't bother.

Went out in the end. Just 50-something miles over the A4069 from Hirwaun to the A470.

Felt a bit rusty and under-confident in the bike, but it was good to get out. even if it was bloody cold - even with a heated waistcoat and heated grips.

just got back from riding in 30+ degrees, going to be a bit of a change when I go to work on the bike in the morning. Roads in Northern Thailand are suprisingly good and lots of good info on routes etc, only downside was hire bike died on the last morning about 60 miles from finish, bike firm told us to leave bike at local bike mender and get ourselves back, which they paid for and gave us days rental back. We covered just over 600 miles in 5 days and will def do it again, just on a newer bike.

I will try to Nicko, not too up posting pics. Definitely a different experience and a way to get off the tourist trail. Woke up to a light dusting of snow in S Devon this morning so bike stayed in garage.
