It will fit, but will make no difference - they are the same length!

Hi
If you have the sports pack with ohlins suspension fitted you can alter the length of the rear shock using the threaded adjust at the bottom of the shock.
All the best

Gus is absolutely right. Lengthening the shock is the best and correct method

An alternative is to use a longer torque arm! That will probably mean going after-market and will start to fundamentally change the angles of the shafts. I can see no reason why a Verholen Adjustable Torque Arm designed for use on the R1100S would not do the job. It is a similar length and the fittings at both ends are the same.

Mind you, I reckon that mounted above the drive shaft it would look a bit bulky and gross!

I use a Wunderlich (HP2 S) and an Evoluzione (R12S).
I also have the shocks at max length and RT A-arms installed on both bikes.

The HP2 also uses a Pirelli 200 series tire.

Both bikes now turn in by just thinking about a turn!

San Jose BMW also makes an adjustable arm for the R1200's.

Cheers
