Polishing stainless steel pipes

I found this when searching for some ideas for refurbishing my downpipes.

that won't polish them it will get them clean.
For in situ polishing first brush on "wonderwheels" wheel cleaner this breaks down the tarnish. Wash with hot water then polish with strips of rags and Solvol Autosol. For stubborn stains use wet dry paper (or one of those foam sanding blocks) and solvol together. Half an hour or so will transform those blue / brown pipes into a thing of beauty.
