Hi all from the Fen's
Hi been looking for a while and now awaiting the delivery of a 1998 R1100S, my first BM.
Looking forward to my first rides although it is cold.
Nice to read lots of information and tips on here.
Will possibly be looking for pipes, air filter and luggage soon.
Thanks Dave

Hi Guys, Thanks for the friendly welcome.
Still a lot to learn.
Not long to wait now.
RGV sold to make way for the R11.
Any known issues on the early bikes to look for?
The one I have bought has 56k, FSH and a ticket till June next year.

Hi Dai, I see you are a very regular contributor on the site.
Have run a lot of odd bikes in the past, 906 Paso, TL1000S all with their built in 'character' so not afraid of problems. I just like to know what I may need in the shed as a spare? Or what needs checking and replacement?
A Blackbird......
Looking to travel further a field now, the TL is OK but has a 90 mile range at 35mpg. Want to ensure I am prepared for Scotland or the Alps next summer.
Thanks for all the messages.
Cheers
Dave

A,A, recovery membership then if things go wrong you get the bike home and worry about it then, it will cover you for all vehicles you have not just the bike well worth having also saves you having to carry tools
Possibly worth keeping a hall sensor unit at home [ quite common falt and the only thing that left me at the roadside] but i don't have a spare at home i got one within a week from ebay[http://www.boxertrix.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16652] also Dan Cata [in my sig] does them
Hope this helps Dai
