Brake Discs/Pads

I need to replace the discs on my 1100S as well as replacing the caliper pistons and seals so I'm looking at doing everything at once.

I have had a look around and there seems to be a few options but no real reviews from anyone. Just wondered what aftermarket discs people are fitting and what pads. Cost is a consideration but I would rather have decent brakes than save a few quid.

EBC's work well on my R12RT with the EBC pads.

Try James Sherlock.. I've had a couple of rear Hekkanes (for diff. bikes) and they seemd ok and not dead expensive.

Cheers.

The grimeca disks.

These work for me,. The front pair have been on for 30k. I replaced the bolts and washers at the same time.

+1 for the EBC combo, and a caliper repair kit from Motorworks,
They've been very good compared to the originals I got the bike with 8)

Didn't realise you could get hekkane front discs as well, I've got a hekkane rear disc and I've been impressed with it given it was so much cheaper than the alternatives and feels better than OEM.

I was lucky Sherlocks had some S/H discs which were really good value and hardly worn. I was also lucky with removing the bolts only had to heat up two of them> Make sure you have a really decent allen key. I did buy new washers and bolts. Could have got away with just the the new washers. Changing the discs took only an hour.
