Another court story

Postby Boxermed69 » Wed Sep 26, 2012 10:51 pm

Al's gag reminded me of this. Again, I like to think it really happened...

A 'new age traveller'/hippy/tree hugger type is being tried over his part in some road building protest or other. Trouble is, geezer gives his name as Baron Von summit or other and claims not to understand English. The gallery is full of his mates, it's all a bit raucous and the beak is starting to lose his rag. No German interpreter has been sorted, so the judge asks if there's anyone in the court able to translate. Scruffy bloke in the gallery raises his hand. He's ushered down quick smart and sworn in. Judge asks him to ask the defendant to confirm his name. Bloke clears his throat, looks at matey, and barks (Herr Flick stylee) "VOT IS YOUR NAME?". Court's in uproar - judge hands the fella 30 days for contempt. Probably worth it... :D
Horizontally opposed, vertically challenged...
