Gone POP!

Well, that’s probably what you get for having crap after sales service, slightly overpriced products and printing 1000s of argos sized catalogues each year.

Good kit, but very bad service (in my experience).

That is a pity. :(

Always found the staff to be enthusiastic and helpful, no matter which branch visited.

Can't see anyone taking it over and making a better job of it, unless they go for fewer, larger stores - out of high rates areas.

That IS a shame. I like the quality of their own branded kit. I've only bought stuff online and, while the price and quality was great, it wasn't all plain sailing. Ordered a base layer set 2.5 weeks before going skiing (yep, I find bike kit's great for skiing - and cheaper than equivalent ski kit). Delivery touted as 'in 5 working days'. Didn't arrive in time. When I rang them with a week to go: "Oh, we're waiting for new stock. Don't know when it'll be in." No email, no phone call...and no apology/offer of further discount, nowt

don't forget this is only the UK part of the operation isn't it? The parent company is still ok ?

Sad days but I think it's their own fault......

Let me explain..... their stuff is that good its lasts years and with biking numbers on the decline they have probably sold something to nearly every biker on the road, and track and muddy field etc

I would hope that someone would come along and keep the uk brand alive with maybe much fewer stores and online available???

Fingers crossed or I will have to learn German!!!

It seems everyone that delt with the stores is happy, but believe me, the online or phone ordering operation was pi*s poor.

But, as has already been said, how many of us own a bit of their kit? I'd imagine everyone.

Always like them - shops were fine for me. Never bothered with online as I like having a person to deal with when it comes to this kind of thing. Hope someone takes them over and sorts it out.

That's sad. I've been in their gear for most of my biking career.
I've always received good service from all departments.

I've been kitted out with Hg for a number of years now , any warranty issues I had were always dealt with promptly and with new items.

It is sad - I bought a new helmet from them just before the Moffat weekend - the Newcastle branch have always served me well. I've got a few bits of their kit and it has always been good

that's odd because i'm sure that either last year or the one before it was in the news that the german arm was in trouble and the uk business was apparently safe.
