I can't get 47 mpg plus from my riding ...........
40 mpg +/- 1 for me. Riding like a tool though!
The light used to come on at 125 miles, now it's on by 150 miles. I think 22 litres is the likely maximum.
I'm pushing the bike at 195 miles.
Agreed though, it's so much better than the standard tank.
(Cheers Chris!).
Well 202m/19.25ltrs (top-up at the pump) = 47mpg. The first 40 odd miles were with the local greybeards whose pace can only be described as 'funerial'. After that I did next 160 miles at my own pace which I would describe as pressing on. Strangely, it dosn't seem to make a great deal of differance. My bike does 10miles/litre fairly consistantly.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.
Over the last 43,922.9 miles I have averaged 48.26 miles per gallon (UK gallon). Best tank full was 58.5 mpg Riding two up on a day out with a local bike club. Not a slow group but also not flat out fast. Worst tankfull 41.3 mpg riding like a Wank**r.

This was the Bike that was used by MCN as it's pre launch test bike which everyone thought would be clapped out by jounalists riding it but it is still going strong. Not long ago (on foreign shores) I saw 141mph indicated on the speedo on the flat so it's still got it (not saying where but it regulary sees 120 mph / 125 mph. As for the mpg I don't often use more than 5,500 rpm through the gears I use the torque curve. The tyres only seem to last not very long (I have another spreadsheet) It's MPG was better before I fitted the "Accelerator" mod. I put the figures down to regular servicing, new oil every 6,000, new Air filter and plugs every 12,000miles. I have only balanced the TBs once at around 50,000 miles. I also am still running standard exhaust. So if you are getting less than this and still cannot hit 140 think about the mods you are running.
