throttle sync
i have had a small rattle on my right hand side that has been bugging me for a while i played with my valve clearance 15 on the intake and 30 on the exhaust the noise went away went a few miles down the road the noise came back then i read on here about the rocker end float so got the feeler gauges back out altered that to .05 all ok then a few miles down the road the noise came back
eeerrrgggg so i started again reading all the threads on here and decided it must be the fuel mixture so i ordered carbtune pro the other day fourty odd pounds which i thought was quiet good seeing the prices can vary so much they arrived today at 1 oclock by 2 oclock they was all balanced it takes a bit of trial and error seeing i have never tried this before but the throttle responce is loads better i feel a bit of a idiot that i never noticed it was that before but this is my first bmw motorcycle and just presumed that is what they were like she is 13 years old and has 60thousand on the clock and i wouldn't swap her for all the tea in china so its all part of it knowing when she needs a bit of TLC i hope she lasts another 60 tousand miles anyway ill take her out next week and see if the noise stays away and ill let you know.

i dont think the ticker killer is the problem i have fiddled with the tb but it makes no diference uless i twist the half moon shaped piece at the back which just seems to kill the engine but if i just put pressure on it it make no difference to the noise but at the minute the noise has gone but i need to see if it comes back when i have riden it thank you for your thread though
