Digital Clock Question

The digital clock on my new to me '00 R1100S is acting up.

The display works properly as a clock at times, but if you go to correct the time, the display will break up to a bunch of dashes that are not recognizable as a time piece.

The horn and other electrical items work fine, per related searches.

Are the digital clocks a problem on these consoles?

Anyway I am enjoying the bike and if all that is wrong with the bike is the clock I am a happy camper.
:D

They do go faulty. It is not an expensive fix. They are still available. A bummer when it is not working. Helpfull suggestion = Buy a new one.

For $200 replacement I will unplug it and look at my wrist watch.
