***CAUTION - OLD THREAD DUG UP FROM THE GRAVE ALERT***

Was there ever any movement on this, or has anyone found another supplier?

I contacted the same ebayer as you Nick, and got pretty much the same answer - except they asked for a scan. I originally sent them a picture I found on t'internet but it wasn't good enough.

Was about to ask the question on the forum, but in a blast of unexplained inspiration I decided to use the search function (novel idea, I know) and found this thread.

I also found this greek website offering the same thing, but they are also in kmh:

Might as well ask them the same question though - you never know, they might come up trumps :D

White dials sir? Oooh, suits you sir, oooh. :D

I changed mine over a couple of years ago and I am very happy with the look.

I think that, eventually, I bought a brand-new (no miles) white-faced head from a fellow Trixter. No digital clock and a broken speedo glass. Put my own clock in; found a bloke in Devon(?) who repaired old clocks. He sent me an exact size piece of glass for a couple of quid. It went, together with the original 'binnacle' when I sold (read:- 'gave away') the bike to a bloke from Holland.
I have to say, unlike 'leasky', I didn't find the white clocks a great success since in the half light of late afternoon/evening the pale green figures on a white background were unreadable and only became legible again once it was properly dark. :(
I did try to remove the speedo face so as to send a scan to that German company but I couldn't get the needle off so I backed down on that one I'm afraid.

Nick.

The yellow on black dials have always niggled me and I'm not a fan of the black on white so, rather sadly, I'm in the process of doing my own faces to get made up.

Based on classic (ie simple) white on black. haven't quite got the font right yet and the rev counter is still 'work in progress', but I'm getting there.

Font doesn't matter - those look good. :D

As you say - the yellow on black is a bit naff and dated.

Well, in a surprise move, moto-discovery.com (the Greek company mentioned earlier) replied earlier with the following message:

"Hello,
Thank you for visiting our e-shop.
Of course it is possible to create an MPH version.
There is a 5€ extra charge and it takes 8-11 business days to get shipped.
Notice that payment must be made in advance via PayPal.
Please feel free to contact us for any further information.
Regards"

Sounds very hopeful. Might ask them for a picture

Well, it seems that the Greeks have lost their template for the white clocks (if they ever had one). I received the following e-mail this morning:

"Unfortunately we have been informed right now that the scheme for the MPH version for R1100S is not available.
The only way to proceed with it is to have a scanned copy of the original gauges.
We apologize for the inconvenience".

Bugger!
