Hi there,
Could some nice person out there supply me with the dimensions of an Abba or similar bike stand as I wish to fabricate one here at work!!
Either that or could someone please tell me the vertical length required from the ground to a suitable lifting point (swing arm pvot) and also the width of the bike at that point.
Why can't I do it myself I hear you cry..... cause I work on an oil platform and the bike is miles away!!
Many Thanks,
Andy S

Hi Andy.
If you can access the old Yahoo Boxertrix site there are a couple of photos and a drawing of the stand that I fabricated.
They are in the photos section in a folder called "home made"
If not Ill look the drawing out and post it on here.
Mick
Thanks

Thanks,
Andy

Also.... See the little black cicular thing that has three bolts holding it on, on the swigarm pivot point...... can this be removed?? and is this the point where the stand attatches?? does anyone have a photo of what is in there so that I can get something made up to fit in?? If that is where the bike stand lifts the bike????
Thanks
Andy

The abba stand has adapter that they sell seperately, one for each side of the swing-arm pivot .That's why I opted for theirs, coz I got adapters for the other two bikes in my garage. On the S, the near side is a point to go in the recess and the offside is circular to fit over the black disc after removing the three allen bolts and fitting slightly longer ones supplied.
Should be able to post dimentions at some point over the weekend if no-one beats me to it.

I also tried to transfer the photos from Yahoo, but they are too small to see any detail.
Ill do some more tomorrow

Slight misinform on previous post - offside adapter uses only central bolt to attach, NOT three outer ones. Apologies.
