The other night in the bar i was asked "How old are you Dai" i replied honestly "i don't know but was born in 1957" it was worked out how old i am but i have forgotten now!
I suppose i am old enough not to care anymore
I have scraped through 55+orbits, not running the clock down till pension, still running fast (to stand still) and looking forwards eagerly cos I have less time in front of me than I have behind me. (Hopefully!)
Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)
started out with nothing, still have most of it left.
Right now i,m feeling every day of the 56 years as i,m laid up with Pancreatitus. Most of the time i feel about half that especially when the yellow lamp is out and i,ve two wheels under me.
64, bought my first BMW ('78 R100S), in 1980. Winter is the prime riding season here in the Sonoran Desert, so I am enjoying the local canyons and mountains for the next several months.
However, age does come with baggage. Two total hip replacements in the last twelve months has meant no riding at all (problems with getting my leg over).
