DIY gear indicator
Moderators: Gromit, Paul, slparry
Short answer is - not yet.
I'm just waiting for a new set of dial faces to arrive so I can do the whole lot together. Trouble is that I'm off touring on it in Europe is a couple of weeks, so it might have to wait until I get back.

Which guy was that? The instructor on the yellow one or the guy on the dark grey one? Emilio told me later that you had it installed, I wish I'd have checked it out now!

Is it white dial faces you're fitting? I wanted to do that but had problems sourcing the faces with MPH markings. If you have a source I'd appreciate a heads up.......
Apologies for the hijack

No, I've done my own black faces but with white lettering rather than yellow
No KPH marking, just simple, classic aviator style.
I'll try reversing the colours and see what it looks like.
edit ...
a bit like this ...
I had them made up in Germany http://www.heiler-tachodesign.de/ They were quick and efficient, cost £70 (say it quick), but better than £150+ I was quoted from a well-known UK firm!

Can I still buy a kit? (the one without cockpit mod)
Dear Buzzz90. I've been fooling around with a generic Gear Indicator for my wife's R1150R, it works with a magnet and two Hall sensors. It is not as reliable as your solution, so I would love to buy the €37-ish kit. So, what do I do next???
BMW R1200RT DOHC for my self, R1150R for my wife.
