Aye will do, wont be for a while yet. Hoping to tek it to the Wales do.
Despite what the ebay ad says it should have 6 gears! Bought it for a two up easy ride. Pondered long and hard about the R1200R but imo it does not have the custom/roadster look that I am liking here.
Another selling point for me was the absence of ESA ABS TC DCT Power Modes. etc.etc. Uncomplicated Italiano cool.

Do not think that the Pillion provision is a problem. My other half is 5`4" and Eight stone ... If it becomes a problem then it goes to someone else.
Trying to get Piaggio to provide me with another "Technical Update" for this engine. Should be a recall really but as usual lawyers and accountants dictate otherwise. There exists a top end issue with failing tappets and cam followers from the 2008 to the 2012 engines. It is well documented on all Guzzi Forums.
There are no symptoms as yet but I am sure that my bike like all the others in this range will have tappets that are losing their coatings and scoring the cam followers. The coatings drop into the engine and this leads to catastrophic failure if not addressed no matter how often you change oil and filters. It only happens in the new 8 valve 1200 early engines.
Apparently Piaggio are a set of bully boys when it comes to their franchises. I have heard this from more than one dealer.
I am hoping that a M8 of mine with a trailer fancy` s a day down to Newcastle in the not to distant future
