But a map isn't a gadget... no buttons to press, no beeping noises and no colour screen :D

And the fact that I have a bundle of Michelin maps covering Southern France is totally irrelevant.

Adam :)
Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.

Luddite! Anyway, how can you call us barmy for spending £400 on a useful gadget, when you spend three or four times that on a pair of wheels?

I would wish you a merry Christmas, but no doubt you'd just say "Bah humbug"

Cheers,

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Fitted mout, looks good and works.

Now for the electrics! If I splice it into the accesory socket lead, will the fuse in the circet be sufficient?

Hi

I powerd mine by splicing into the accesory lead and have had no problems so far, also alows you to disconnect the power if you are not using the GPS for a while.

I have also haird wired the sound output into the autocom box.

If you stick your tongue on each in turn... Alternatively, Maplins will sell you a digital voltmeter for £2.99

Cheers,
