No offence winger - but those 5 spoke magnesiums look like they were designed in an unlit room by a 6th form wood work student.
They are honestly the worst looking pair of wheels around - they'll be the lightest thing out there for the 11s I don't doubt but they sure is ugly.
Besides which I think if I went to Dymag they would just modify a stock wheel again. Any thoughts that they could make a 7 spoke forged to fit a 12s leaves me cold when I see that ultimately they would have to go down the route of hub adapters as they couldn't get the disc to fit the wheel flat.
Look at these beautiful wheels - bodg'd up to make 'em fit (2006 R1 by the looks). How can that be in anyway mechanically efficient? Yuk.

God have i laughed,go away mate to do your bloody home work,and learn to bloody count for a start off and then get the right model wheel,but you've had me in stiches i'll tell you.
Hang on!! just to make your life easier, guess what their 7 spoke in the picture!!!!,thats just a stock wheel that they modify for certain bikes,BM's ain't one of them,wheels for Beemers are custom made,do you know why?? cuz the front hub is offset,and the rear is a one off,there not used for anything,Dymag wished they were,dear lord they wished they could be used for something else!!!!
On a serious note,Marchesini,Dymag,and try PVM,otherwise your wasteing yer money,unless it's just a fashion thing your after.

Looking nice has no bearing on the effiency of anything.
Duke,How often do you look at your bike when riding it?I would (personally)prefer the mechanical advantage/effiency of something rather than it looking pretty.Sometimes you can have both,sometimes you have to compromise.
Blackal,I once had a customer who swore his fuseboard was faulty and wanted it replacing because his professor in some bollox had checked it and assured him that it was kaput.I sorted it in 2 minutes and didnt tell the fuckwit who thought i was just a thick tradesman what he had done wrong in wiring it.Bloody univerisity types!I went to the school of life me!
In all seriousness though,chris has done the hardwork and has the inside knowledge on the wheel thing.He put his money where his mouth is and the results speak for themselves.He has had aftermarket performance wheels on his bikes for a long time and put the mileage on em.Nothing beats experience.

Dymag have made them for the 1200s too mate, but at 1997 plus vat. They arent planning to make any more tho.
For me the only reason I'd be swapping wheels it to help the handling but each to their own, absolutely. Ive had my standard wheels done black and I'll just have to wait until I can afford something lighter. I got in touch with Steve at DYMAG but I just couldnt afford £2350 fer wheels at the moment anyway!!

The funny thing is, they hate makeing wheels for BM's with a passion,i'll always remember the guy saying over the phone, saying their a bloody nightmare to make,and the worsed bit, if you ever buy e'm,putting e'm on a bike is criminal,more like put e'm in a glass case and hang e'm on the wall,haveing said that,i fitted a pair of Marchesinis on a 1098 last year jesus the back wheel just weighed nothing.

i thought about selling a whole thunderace and buying wheels, but I'd still have another 600 quid to find! Kind of put it in perspective
