Thanks SPLarry for putting those pics up.
I'd definitely have the high level one in the second pic.
BTW, Roland Sands does a nice range of aftermarket parts for the R NINE T, all approved by BMW.

OK lads. sorry to be a party pooper but really, consider this, if you are going to put yourself in a racing crouch, buy a Duc. or a s1000rr That will put a zippy grin on inside that helmet. No hipster fist banging stuff going on there.

As a second bike just for a wee bimble on a weekend it is an indulgence even at a tempting price.

Fiat Panda.
Fiat Scudo (with speedblock, pipe carrier, reversing sensors, reversing camera, tow bar, some new rust and Fake Plumber logo)

started out with nothing, still have most of it left.

I think if we're being honest, most bikes are an indulgence.
Bikes are not an essential part of everyday life.
Some may use them as everyday transport, but I suspect most high end bikes are used in the very way you described.
Is there really anything wrong with having a nice bike purely to use for weekend enjoyment ?

They make superb looking pipes.
Would BMW frown on them from the point of view of warranty ?
Here they are fitted to a Guzzi Griso, looking rather splendid I think.
