The mistake a lot of people make when buying aftermarket shocks,they think their like the stock 'Do everything as is' and they ain't,a stock Ohlin bought over the counter comes with a 150 spring if you ride one up you'll be Ok,if you do any amount of twoup you'll need a 170.

Hi,

The Maxtons on my R11S are much better then the ohlins on my R12S.

But I'm not comparing like with like, I'd need to have the R12S ohlins fitted with all the parts BMW left off the list.

If I was to buy another R12S for some reason, I would get stock suspension and put something aftermarket on with the money I saved used as a deposit.
