Nice to hear you enjoyed the Buell, Mark - and doubly glad to see the bike you rode wasn't wearing the shocking OEM Dunlop tyres (I fitted Diablo's to my old XB9).
Pleased to hear 'your' bike had a good gearbox - this is a sign that it's been set-up/serviced properly (ie the primary chain's been adjusted correctly).
Looks good in the black/red etc.

Thanks Grom. Planning a test ride on an RSV next (bit more power, bit more wind protection, bit more scope for carrying luggage), but not sure anything could live up to the Buell to be honest - it really was a phenomenal bike!

I looked at those. My neighbour has one. I just couldn't get over how ugly they are. Also, even though "practicality" isn't high up my list of priorities, the lack of tank range would do my head in.

The Super Duke's probably the daftest bike I've ever ridden. Mad it is. Still wouldn't own one though, and the one I test-rode kept stalling in traffic and made some very scary rattling/knocking noises.
Out of all those mentioned I'd still have the Buell - sure it's not the quickest in a straight line but it's such a fun little package. And they sound awesome too.

Yeah, it's a matter of taste. I don't like the way they look, but I don't expect everyone to agree.
