Any one using the new diablo corsa 111`s?. Got a pair on the cbr and they are fanastic quick to warm up and with the dual compound they last well to with massive grip .

Also i use the wunderlich s lifter as it is small and light and does not get in the way whilst you are working round the bike like some stands can and it fits in the main stand lugs and has 2 height ajustments.

I bought an ABBA stand recently. Looks to me like your back wheel is only an inch or two off the deck. Mine is a full 8 inches and it's a massive heave to get it up and over, as it were.

What am I doing wrong?!
Chris - that's coz the BCR's got mega-long suspenders (long front shock with GS sliders/long rear shock and short torque arm) meaning the back wheel's much closer to the ground. Also, because your bike sits lower, the ABBA lift is at a lower angle when in its 'start' position, hence the more heave-ho require to lift the bike.
But I do have the SS Sport suspension - thought that was identical to the BCR kit? :?: Or is the short torque arm something you did?

Nope - the '04 BCR has the longer GS fork sliders, the long rear shock and the short arm. The bike's seat (itself thicker than a std one) is taller than an 1150GS in fact.

The Mamola BCR (ie 2003) has the long front shock, shorter rear shock and short arm, standard fork legs. Same as a Sport, basically.

The prev owner said he hated the OE Metzelers. He fitted Dunlop 208s about 3 years ago and the bike has only done about 1000 miles since.

I don't like the feel they give.

They seem to give steady grip and then suddenly tip you over, and thye are not squared off.
I had 208RR's on my BCR and absolutely loved em. Would have put another set on but managed to get a good deal on some M1's on this site. Cheers Andrew
