I never need to change the oil on mine anyway. It gets a complete flush through every 600 miles as it is. Is this why beemers last so long????
Your oil usage sounds excessive. Mine used 250ml in the last 2500 miles and even last year in the 40 deg C heat of France I only used 300ml in 1500 miles.bmwonder wrote:I never need to change the oil on mine anyway. One suggestion I read on the ukGSer forum a while back was to only fill the oil up to the red dot rather than the max mark - apparently this improved (i.e. reduced) the oil consumption. Can't hurt to try.
