Anyone got Bar Risers fitted to their S ???

Got a technical query? Found another 0.02bhp? Ask/tell the world.

What do you think the cat is for

Sorry could not resist that.

I did not have any problems, but you must insure that the anti slip mesh is really fitted tight, and of course you have to poke a couple of holes in the mesh for the screws.

go with Baileys (bigblackfalco) suggestion....I have.....twice!

just remember to raise the fork tube first to ease off the circlip ring before pushing tube back through the yoke and the bars drop away-No hammer needed everything OK with hand pressue.
(of course undo the securing bolts)

To be honest, moving the existing bars up above the yoke made perfect sense BUT it means that there's no locating-lug to prevent the bars from moving. Sure, the pinch-bolts should prevent that from happening, but you never know!!!

Anyway, I was fortunate enough to find a pair of used BMW "comfort" bars which are designed to go above the yoke and they have the necessary lug that fits in the top of the yoke. Got the extended brakeline too.

They're being fitted tomorrow (Saturday) so I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for your help guys.

....hmmm... maybe this is the guy you're looking for...

http://www.rapiddog.net/

With bikes that came form the factory with "comfort bars" you won't have any problem with heated grips or brakelines, etc....at least with my barbacks...I cannot speak for Company "W" nor Company "V"...

Could be witn the Euro vs the US$...you could save a chunk of pondage trying mine...

They're also available thru my rep in Wales, Woody's Imporium Ltd.
