We went on the Friday. I liked the BMW stand with the 90 years exhibition, some tasty rare motorcycles there. Saw Michael Rutter but didn't corner him for chat. He still has the most wins for the Macau GP, better luck next time. Chatted to one of the BMW WSBK hospitality girls we met earlier this year and filled in a form for the BMW ORS draw. Had a look around and I like the S1000R. Bet you that bike will sell with a price of under £10000. Had a chat with Gwyn from ORS and David Halsall. The new RT cockpit looked like the K1600 and was fitted with the new Michelin PR4's. Looked at the other manufacturers and stands, had a chat with a few of them that is local to Bedfordshire/Northamptonshire and the club stands. At last had the chance to cast my eyes on the new FJR1300 with the electronic adjustable suspension, I like. Kawasaki stand was good. Honda stand was good with the race bikes displayed. Ducati stand was really good. I like the new 899 and the Superleggra. Saw and chatted to Penny who was doing promotion duties at the Ducati stand. Good thing she still remembered our faces. If yo don't know who she is, she was the girlfriend of Scott Redding but now dates Alex Lowes. Ran into Richard Cooper at the Infinty stand before his announcement of TAG teaming up with Kawasaki in BSB. It was good to meet him again and had a good chat. I have a lot of time for that lad. We were in the audience at his interview with James Witham. James described my Kriega R25 as a parachute, god bless him the cheeky bugger. 2 of my mates did a good deal on Daytona Voyager boots for £235 a pair. I tried the Daytona race boots on but to me I rekon it is too expensive to use at the track days. Don't want to crash in £450 boots. Eventually came upon the No Limits stand and after some explaining of what we are up to we walked away with some promises which we will confirm in writing later. Later just by chance as we left said hi to Glen Richards and Alex Lowes who gave us his email address for some club business later this year maybe. I could see he was a bit knackered so kept the chat short. All in all a very good day out. Best day out with me mates.

DAMN I've just, this very day, got a txt saying my PR3 have been delivered to my tyre-fitters.

Went along with my Brother today and was pleasantly surprised at how good a show it was We got there for opening time 10am and I had promised to be home for 6pm, there was so much to see that by 4.30 we had to cut and run so we missed quite a bit of it this is a first for me as I usually have had enough by 1pm

Oh, and I got a GREAT deal on a new Shoei GT Air helmet, RRP £469, Today I got it for £315

A great day out ( and I never thought I'd say that )

Yes I thought that was a good display too, as you say some rare bikes there, I wonder what the total value of them was

I had to drop my daughter off at work first, so did not manage to get there until 11.30. I stayed until the end, but could have done with an extra half a day, there was stuff I missed as well.

Sounds like a good deal on the Shoei. My mate was trying to get a discount on a Schuberth C3 pro, but they were not being discounted.

I can tell you that the Dakar GS will be over a 100K. It is as rare as hen's teeth, I mean the ones that was actually ridden in the Dakar. From what I've heard the dayglow paint on them is a once off. There is no paint code for it. Luckily someone on another forum has experimented a bit and got it right when he painted his replica Playboy tank.

ISTR that the dayglo orange has cyanide or something in it .. perhaps why it's a one off
