Thanks mate. I hope i`m buying well cos i haven`t got a clue on bmw all i can go on is the bike is immaculate and i needed to slow down from the busa !!

When you get to grips with the cup, maybe it wont be as slow as you expect.

Agree with Meerkat on this one.
The R1100S may be slower in a straight line - but there's not much that could get away from one on a twisty road - especially if you throw in some bumps.
I have a friend who used to run an R1150GS - he could romp away from me on the Aberystwyth Mountain Road, regardless of what I was riding - and I'd tried a Ducati 750SS, Honda VFR800, Honda VFR750 and R100RT against it!
When I bought my 11S, he traded the GS for a Yamaha SuperTen and the tables were turned - his SuperTen was left for dead by the 11S.
