As i have said before Steve i have liked every one i have ridden but i have never ridden a stock one they have all been chopped

Using Motul 10W40 the now as I got it for nowt, Seems to be fine, Only had to top up 100ml once since last change,

Would normally use this though

You are not going to believe this but i may be going to have a look at one no matter how hard i try to talk myself out of it heart says go look!
the model's right, [FDX] the price is right [no comment here] it's black, history's right, and it has all the bit's on that i would want to put on myself did i say it's far from stock Ann has seen pics and has offered to put up a good lump of cash as long as i change the seat so it has a bigger fanny pad [that would make it look a bit odd] but for a bar hopper i'm in love

Basicly it's what i would build if i had access to the harley parts bin not a lot standard stage 3 tune, after market swing arm, supertrap exhaust, wideglide front end, fat wheels front and back, up rated ignition, brakes, etc

The only Harley worth buying, IMHO, is the XR1200.



They are spectacularly good value at the moment - but I don't have £5k to spend on a bike right now.

I use an engine oil flush every couple of oil changes to keep things nice and clean inside. Probably dont need to but I do anyway.

If your going to use one of these types of products dont buy cheap. Some of them seem to be just diesel and wont do a lot.

Hmmm. Just had a quick look at that, I don't agree with some of it. But I can be a pedantic swine.

My advice has always been to use a decent quality semi or fully synthetic change it more often for semi and don't go too thin (0W grades). This is gwnerally the case when the people have leaks on fully synth.

This generally makes flushing oils utterly redundant.

Another way to look at it is that the base oil is used to transport the additives that do all the heavy lifting and be a cooling medium. Making that base oil more stable is a good thing.
