Well, I've booked to go to Garmisch. doing the organised tour this year to sound it out with a view to going again next year and camping and doing a longer tour. Quite expensive but haven't had a proper holiday for a while and it looks as if the only fixed part of it is the hotels. Maps etc are given and how you get there is your own affair (or so I'm led to believe). Really looking forward to it!!

single rider single room£1299
single rider shared room £899
rider and pillion sharing room £1699

meals are included and they have a vip area with a few glasses of beer thrown in.

Anyone any thoughts?

16 hours for 620 miles of non peage from Calais > Reims > Frieburg > Garmisch Partenkirchen

More regular was north Wales to Nice, first time on a KLR600 trail bike, in one hit ... that one was harder going Smile

Last Saturday, after fitting a Gel seat to me 'blade and doing a Kington-Knighton-Aber-Wolves (Party! :occasion7: )-Hereford- Kington, 250 mile bash, and, not-with-standing (whaaat?) 6 hours of semi-racing crouch, feeling just a slight stiffness in the shoulders I suggested to a mate that we get up early one morning and do a 500 mile 'Round Wales' trip. Well, huh! BIG DEAL . You make me feel like such a 'lightweight' Steve. :(

I'm sure the weather will be fine there, I'd not like to make the same prediction for us here in the frozen wastelands of the UK, apparently we've upset the jetstream
