I've got wilbers on mine, don't know the difference between mine and standard but it feels good and there's loads of adjustment.

Hagon on the front of mine matched with a Nitron on the back
Both basic shoc's the reasoning here is it's used on the road not the track and the more settings you have the more chance of getting it wrong

Mine handles fine

These Wilbers sold this month........... £640 inc delivery.

A good deal for the buyer, I think :D

I think remote preload is a worthwhile addition - if funds allow.

I've got remote preload on mine but as far as I can tell it doesn't do anything. I've tried it wound all the way in and all the way out and it feels the same. To add to that, now I've got pannier rails I have nowhere to mount it so I cable tied it to the subframe. I think I will have it taken off when I decide to get them rebuilt and just get it set up for my weight.

Tom - the hydraulic cylinder may be empty, or lacking some oil capacity.

If I remember correctly - there are restrictions on how far in or out a Wilbers preload can be wound without damage (need to search my e-mails to confirm)

If it is a wilbers you have - I think you may have to send it for fixing (RevsRacing?) to get the preload refilled?

Could be it to be honest but its never worked. The adjuster on bottom makes a load of difference so I've never bothered with the preload.

I'll get them rebuilt by reactive when I feel the need to but a new clutch has put all that back.

If I'm not mistaken , the remote reservior on the rear shock is for adjusting high and low speed compression. The preload is adjusted using the c spanners provided. Just thinking aloud while comparing them to mine, which I can't actually see at the moment. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Sorry Dave - the one pictured has a remote reservoir with full adjustment (I think) - rather than remote preload.

I only used that example as it was the most recent sale that I know of - for R1100s shocks.

TBH, those shocks look identical to mine, but have blue springs, where as mine have black. The rear has non remote preload, remote adjustment of high and low speed compression via the reservior, rebound is adjusted using black/red 'knurled' adjuster below the spring, and the ride height adjuster is below that. All in all, a very well specced shock. Front just has adjustable preload and rebound.
