...........and dont forget the master cylinder. Although it's inverted, the rubber belows can hold moisture + crud, so it can sieze. The cylinder barrel is alloy and gets that nice white finish on it when damp, which stops the internals from moving in and out easily. A second hand one I got recently was thus, and the operating pin/arm which pokes through the belows was thick with rust. Silicone grease once it's all clean should sort it! I packed it full with the stuff.
