Thanks for the link, Mitch - not seen that one.

If you're interested in all things Fujifilm, it's worth reading some of the stuff Zack Arias has written:

Just arrived this morning - the WCL-X100 wide-angle converter for my little Fuji X100...

Turns the standard 23mm (35mm equivalent in 35mm format) into a 28mm equivalent. Works really well - no obvious fall-off in IQ from what I can detect, and typical of Fuji kit it's beautifully made.

First one off the roll during a wander around our village this afternoon:

Another film camera joins the stable - got given (yes, given!) this old Nikon FE yesterday by someone who can no longer use it. He knows I'm a huge Nikon fan and was kind enough to 'pass it on to someone who'll love it, and use it'. It needs the light seals doing (about a £tenner and an hour's careful work) and a CLA and all will be well. Lens has some slight fungus but am running a film through it at the moment to see if it affects images.

A few photos...

Thanks Steve - cosmetically, the FE's in lovely condition. Some very slight brassing here and there, but not so you'd notice much on first looking at it. Apart from the fungus, the lens is nigh on mint which makes me think it's just been sat stored away, unused for a long time.

I've sent the film off this morning so hopefully the negs will be back by thursday - we're off to N Yorks on holiday on friday so am hoping the Nikon's useable to take with me. The negs will reveal if I do or not, otherwise I'll slum it with the OM2 ;)

Ordered up some seals from the US ((12 Bucks plus postage) so will fit those as a matter of course.

Handling the camera, just reminds me what made me fall in love with Nikons over 30 years ago. Look up 'build quality' in the dictionary and it'll probably say 'look under Nikon'. :)

Gorgeous, Mitch. :)

I just love 'people' photos in monochrome, seems to accentuate their moods and expressions so well. 8)

These with the new E-M1?
