Hi There

Postby strattonmac » Wed May 07, 2008 10:14 pm

Hi everyone
Just joined the club after purchasing an 1100s. Bit of a sheep in wolfs clothing as it was a blue bike(02) but has had a Dream machine paint jod to BCR spec and looks the dogs Bo****ks. The cans were manufactured by an engineering company in stainless and sound beautiful (They are unique!)
Bit heavy on the juice after a Triumph Sprint RS ( For sale now)
Love the S (I like twins) and have just had my first ride without sounding the horn when I want to turn right (LOL)
Any recommendations for aftermarket panniers or shall I stick the EBAY wait out for BMW ones?
Take care Bob (Cheshire)

Welcome, "Take Care Bob"

Now - don't go teasing us with tales of aftermarket modifications............... without any pics to satisfy our curiosity

Glad you enjoy the bike - Pity you hadn't found us sooner......... you could have joined the bunch of trixers that descended on BYT last month. No doubt you know the north Waleshire area well enough

So - get some pics posted soon :D

Al :D
If I am ever on life support - Unplug me......
Then plug me back in..........

See if that works .....
:?

Hi Bob,
welcome to the club.
Pannier wise the Bm ones are a joy to use if not that roomy but do give the bike a wide arse, unless you go for City Lids but then youve got no capacity to speak of, and the mounting rails dont look too bad with the panniers off.

Im thinking of fitting a Givi Top Box now as the large one has almost the capacity of both panniers.
You could also look at the ventura system which some members like.

Cheers
Tim

Hi Bob, I live on the Wirral myself. Heading down to the Thundersprint in Northwich on Sunday, let me know if you are heading that way. If not then maybe a blast into Wales sometime. All the best Mac.

I managed to sound my horn while turning onto the pavement to park. Ooops! I think I nearly finished off a pensioner.

It was a bit busy. Some good bargains on the leathers. They reckoned it was so hot nobody was trying them on. I was very tempted. I am sure we'll catch up some time soon. All the best.
