My new r1100s
Hi all,
As promised a pic of the new stead. Its been nicknamed Bismark by the wife., Something to do with size and the colour.
Its a 53 plate and came to me with lots of goodies.
Laser cans and y piece, wider rear rim and upgrade shock, carbon extended front mudguard and hugger,Belly pan, K & N. Also got factory heated grips and panniers.

Hmmm black rear wheel and silver front. Interesting combination.
Overall rather tasty
I thought white lenses were standard oops.
Think i'll get the front wheel matched to the back.
Leaves are optional organic gel seat option

You beat me to it because I got caught behind a haywagon on the M25. Also DObles only offered me £300 for my f650
However, I bought a blue 2005 one from South London Motorcycles instead- and I love it.
Ahh, Sorry about that, it was the best one i could find and they offered me a grand for my ten year old zrx. Had a bit of a run in with South London in the past, so wouldn't buy from them.
Still trying to get used to the R, time will tell.
Maybe see you at one of the local haunts?

You sure you weren't at Flatford Mill, Dedham Vale?
(intellectual joke)
I do like the colour. It reminds me of a happy two hours I spent co-hosting The Biker Show on WVLS Allegheny Mountain Radio - about nine or ten years ago - as guest presenter. One of the songs was called "Battleship Grey", all about a guy who bought an old Norton. Can't remember who it was by (it wasn't any of those that pop up on Google when I searched).
Lovely ride from the co-presenter's home 25 miles through the Appalachians on an old Triumph Daytona...

(I look knackered because I just travelled all the way from Ohio in the back seat of a Honda Civic)
