So there I am - finish work at 2am and am riding home on the bike. Come off of a roundabout and onto the dual carriageway about 2 miles from work and I see some lights in the distance that appear to be on the other carriageway. I overtake the taxi in front of me and as I am getting up to 70mph the lights that were in front of me still are but they are on my side of the central reservation in my lane!!!!! Fortunately there is no other traffic on the road at that time of the morning and I swerve and miss the car. It was travelling slowly due to front end damage and 2 flat front tyres that were causing loads of sparks. Not content with this I stop and run after the car fortunately for me the taxi that I had overtaken had the presence of mind to block the car so I caught up with it. Turns out the driver was very drunk and had already made off from Police earlier in the evening. Did what I had to do and some time later I continue my journey home. 6 miles further down the dual carriageway I see a shadowy movement in the street lighting - I slow to about 55mph and there right in front of me is a fully grown deer in the middle of the carriageway. Sharp braking and brown underwear time!!!!! Miss the dear and it runs off. I continue the rest of my journey home without incident but it just goes to show that when you are riding a bike you can never 'switch off'.

I'd be wondering what the third thing was going to be...
2011 Harley-Davidson FLD Switchback - yeah, I know. I've always wanted one though...
